As United 93 Opens at Tribeca Festival, Shock, Pain, Culture

By 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, four news vans, an immensely long red carpet and a gaggle of conspiracy theorists had gathered around the Ziegfeld Theater for the Tribeca Film Festival’s premiere of United 93. People calling themselves part of the 9/11 Truth Movement distributed leaflets—they were quickly banned across the street—and yelled at a man walking his dog.

Jason Bermas wore a maroon hoodie with white letters that read “Investigate 9/11.” He spoke into his friend Dylan Avery’s camera at the entrance to the red carpet: “This film is totally ‘nonfiction’”—yes, he made scare quotes with his fingers—“based on the 9/11 Report.”

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (CNN) — Prosecutors asked a judge to rethink granting 9/11 families suing airlines access to evidence gathered for the criminal case against al Qaeda terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui.

U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema’s April 7 order requires prosecutors to provide copies of all unclassified aviation security documents to attorneys representing September 11 families in a civil lawsuit pending in New York.

Prosecutors called the order “unprecedented” and urged Brinkema to withdraw it. The motion was filed by Chuck Rosenberg, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Brinkema’s order would allow the families’ attorneys access to “highly sensitive” law enforcement documents and could compromise the continuing investigation into the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The inquiry is “the largest criminal investigation in our nation’s history, which is still ongoing,” the motion says.

Deconstructing a False-Flag Operation

Lloyd England, whos name when included with the word “pentagon” returns zero results in google, told a reporter “The plane was so low it hit the light pole, and when it hit the pole it knocked the light part off and nothing came through the car but the pole itself.”

England’s claim comes at a time when the U.S. Government has been campaigning to reinforce the official story of 9/11. As I noted in a previous blog entry, the introduction of erroneous evidence in the Moussaoui sentencing trial coupled with a flood of books and film on the subject make it clear that this is a concerted effort designed to shape public opinion.

Of the four alleged planes involved in the attacks, flights 77 and 93 are the most heavily debated. With 9/11 truth reaching critical mass, it’s quite understandable that the 9/11 perps would attempt to shore up their version of events by any means neccessary. Too bad for them it’s quite obvious.

I am still having a hard time finding Lloyd England referenced in mainstream media. It’s as though he never existed. However, survivorsfundproject.org published the following:

Lloyd still keeps a torn dollar bill signed by a stranger and dated September 11, 2001. It marks a day he has struggled to survive for two years. But Lloyd’s story is different from most other Survivors’ Fund clients. His life and livelihood was changed by the path of Flight 77 before it hit the Pentagon.

Lloyd, 69, began the morning of September 11, 2001 like most days, driving his taxi cab. A passenger in Rosslyn told him what had happened at the World Trade Center so he turned on his radio and headed home. As he approached the Navy Annex, he saw a plane flying dangerously low overhead. Simultaneously, the plane struck a light pole and the pole came crashing down onto the front of Lloyd’s taxi cab, destroying the windshield in front of his eyes. Glass was everywhere as he tried to stop the car. Another car stopped and the driver helped move the heavy pole off Lloyd’s car. As they were moving the pole, they heard a big boom and turned to see an explosion. The light pole fell on Lloyd and he struggled to get up from underneath, wondering what had happened.

Police started to arrive on the scene and forced Lloyde to move. They urged the bystanders to leave the area in case there was another explosion. Lloyde was forced to abandon his car in the middle of the street to begin the long walk home. As he made his way on foot up Route 395, he met a man who had been working at the Pentagon. Walking side by side they found a dollar bill lying in the road. They picked it up, tore it in half, each signed one half and traded with each other. Parting ways each took half of a torn dollar with a stranger’s name on it. Lloyde still keeps this tangible reminder of his experience on 9/11.

Lloyde says the hardest part of his journey since 9/11 has been trying to survive without money. He realized once he got home the morning of September 11th that he would not be able to work without his car—it is his livelihood. He was without a vehicle for two months until he purchased a used car with the help of American Red Cross funds. They were the only people to come to his aid in the beginning until his daughter came across the Survivors’ Fund. With the help of his case manager and financial support from the Fund, he has been able to afford his monthly expenses, something he struggled with after 9/11. “I’m not accustomed to people helping me,” he says. “I’m amazed that there are people there just to do that.”

Lloyde tends to keep his feelings to himself. He is quiet, respectful and humble when speaking of his experiences. When asked if it helps him to talk about September 11th, he says, “I don’t know. There are things I’d like to forget.” The remnants of September 11, the reminders are all over for him but he concludes, “surviving hasn’t been easy, but it can be done.”

He denied that he was part of the 9/11 attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C.

More than four years after charges were filed, a Jordanian college student went on trial yesterday in Manhattan federal court, accused of lying to a grand jury that was investigating the Sept. 11 attacks. The trial tests the government’s practice of long detention of witnesses in terror cases.

The student, Osama Awadallah, is accused of misleading the grand jury about his dealings with two Sept. 11 hijackers, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Midhar, who were on American Airlines Flight 77, the plane that crashed into the Pentagon. When he first testified under oath in New York in October 2001, Mr. Awadallah said he did not know the name of Mr. al-Midhar and denied having written it in a school notebook.

“He made a choice: he decided not to honor his oath and he lied,” said Brendan McGuire, an assistant United States attorney, in his opening argument yesterday.

Former Helmut Schmidt cabinet member, 25-year German Parliamentarian and global intelligence expert Andreas Von Bülow says that the 9/11 attack was run by the highest levels of the US intelligence apparatus using WTC Building 7 as a command bunker which was later demolished in order to destroy the crime scene.

Speaking to The Alex Jones Show on the GCN Radio Network, Von Bülow said that “the official story is so wrong, it must be an inside job.”

Von Bülow discussed the special software programs that allow the CIA to track suspicious stock market movements in real time. Record put options placed on United and American Airlines in the week before 9/11, a speculation that the stock would crash, clearly indicated inside foreknowledge of the impending attack.

“If the stock market has very strange movements immediately they take care of this and they had a lot of tapes and the lawyers told the people destroy these tapes.”

“The Bush administration is in a deep defensive [mode] and probably they would like to come out with a new offensive,” said Von Bülow as he considered whether a new staged false flag terror attack could be launched to further an interventionist agenda.

“I would hope that one ‘new Pearl Harbor’ is enough,” said Von Bülow, “but I cannot be sure.”

$500K Seized; Strange Situation Reported At Nuclear Plant

SHIPPINGPORT, Pa. — Two workers looking for tools set off a security situation at a Beaver County nuclear power plant that drew a response from police and federal investigators, WTAE Channel 4’s Paul Van Osdol reported.

State police said the men drove up to the Beaver Valley Power Station in a tractor-trailer on Tuesday night to pick up two large containers of tools for a contractor for whom they worked.

Security guards stopped the men for a routine inspection, but they drove away, police said.

The guards became suspicious and called police, who pulled the truck over about a mile from the plant.

A state trooper got a warrant to search the vehicle and found a duffel bag, which he said contained $504,230 in mostly small bills.

The driver denied knowing anything about the money or who gave it to him, so the trooper seized it, police said.

A spokesman for the FBI confirmed that the Joint Terrorism Task Force responded to the situation in conjunction with state police, but he said they don’t think terrorism is involved. He would not give any other details.

The men, who are from Houston, said they picked up the bag in Chicago and had no knowledge of its contents, according to police.

Investigators think the cash may have a drug connection. A police dog picked up the scent of drugs in the sleeper cab of the truck where the bag was found, police said.

Both men were detained and later released. No charges have been filed.

In late January 2006, some speculated that Fort Hood and the outlying area could be the target of a False-Flag Nuke attack. I agree there is a possibility that this could be related to False-Flag terror ops, however it is more likely that it is related to drug trafficking.

In a stipulation filed by Moussaoui’s counsel we learn that two FBI analysts are finding the alleged plans between Moussaoui and Richard Reid hard to believe:

“In this letter or last will and testament, Reid named Abu Khalid Sawahiri (Moussaoui) as the beneficiary of his belongings upon his “passing.” In the opinion of two FBI analysts, if Reid was to be part of the same martyrdom operation as Moussauoi, it is highly unlikely he would bequeath his belongings to Moussaoui.”

Al-Qaeda plotter Zacarias Moussaoui’s trial has heard there was no evidence to back his claim he planned a 9/11 attack with “shoe bomber” Richard Reid.

The FBI concluded there was no evidence that Reid had prior knowledge of 9/11, or that al-Qaeda had told him to work with Moussaoui, a statement said.

Defence lawyers want jurors at Moussaoui’s sentencing trial to spare his life, saying he is mentally ill.

The defence lawyers at the trial in Virginia have now closed their case.

British-born Richard Reid was sentenced to life in prison in January 2003 after being found guilty of trying to blow up an airliner with explosives hidden in his shoes.

Moussaoui testified last month that he and Reid had been due to hijack a fifth plane and fly it into the White House on 11 September 2001. Some 3,000 people died in the four attacks.

But a written statement, based on interviews with Reid and written by FBI analysts, on Thursday said he had had no advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.

The statement drew no objections from the prosecution.

The document also said that Reid had bequeathed his belongings to Moussaoui, whom he met in Afghanistan, noting that, in the FBI’s view, he would not have done this if they had been destined for the same “martyrdom” operation.

It said the FBI had information linking Reid to a different operation, which was the attempt he made in December 2001 to blow up an airliner from Paris to Miami.

The prosecution is seeking the death penalty for Moussaoui, saying his “lies” in jail before the attacks kept federal agents from identifying and stopping some of the hijackers.

After the defence closed, prosecutors countered with evidence from a psychiatrist who said Moussaoui did not suffer from schizophrenia - as alleged by the defence.

Earlier, the court heard testimony from families of 9/11 victims opposed to executing Moussaoui.

Moussaoui’s lawyers called more than a dozen relatives to counter testimony by other victims’ relatives who appeared for the prosecution.

Marilynn Rosenthal, who lost her son Josh in the attack on the World Trade Center, said her family did not want to “get caught in a whirlpool of sadness and anger”.

Witnesses on either side are prohibited from giving their opinions on what sentence Moussaoui should face when jurors begin their deliberations next week.

Moroccan-born Moussaoui is the only person tried in the US in connection with the attacks on New York and Washington.

The man alleged to be the real 20th hijacker of the September 11 terror attacks is imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay, it has emerged.

Muhammad al-Qahtani, a Saudi, was arrested after US immigration authorities refused to allow him to enter the country at Orlando airport in Florida, before the suicide hijackings.

Testimony in the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui quoted Khalid Shaikh Muhammad, the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks who has been in US custody for several years, describing al-Qahtani as the last hijacker for the mission who would “complete the group”.

Nineteen hijackers boarded four planes on the morning of September 11, 2001. Three planes each with five terrorists on board struck their intended targets, but the fourth, United Airlines flight 93, only had four hijackers. They were forced to dive the aircraft into the ground short of their target - probably the White House - after a counter-attack by the passengers.

Claims by Moussaoui himself at his trial that he was intended to be one of the 9/11 hijackers have been discounted by intelligence sources, although he may still be condemned to death for failing to tell the security services what he knew about the plot.

Although al-Qahtani’s presence at the prison camp in Cuba had been reported, the military had previously declined to confirm it.

You’ve noticed a little bit of back and forth in the pages of the News-Herald in the past few editions over the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

Managing Editor Douglas Grant started it with a column on Friday critical of actor Charlie Sheen who said on the Jimmy Kimmel show that the U.S. government was responsible for terrorist attacks n apparently not via incompetence but actually planning and perpetrating it.

A letter appeared in Tuesday’s paper from John Sharpe taking Grant to task for his attack on Sheen.

It’s prompted some discussion in the office lately.

Deconstructing a False-Flag Operation

In the years following 9/11, numerous books, films and memorials have been created which strive to reinforce the official story of UA93. Recently, with the introduction of alleged UA93 wreckage and most recently a bill which, if passed, would posthumously award a Congressional Gold Medal to the passengers and crew members killed, this effort appears to be stepping up.

UA93 is the only flight from the attacks which has had several books and three films and a mainstream media “documentary” based on it. Why has there been so much more effort to reinforce the official story of this flight than the others on 9/11?

About a dozen relatives of September 11 attack victims were expected to begin testifying Tuesday as part of the defense effort to spare al Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui’s life.

Most of the family members lost loved ones in the attack on the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

One of the family members expected to appear for the defense is Alice Hoagland. She’s the mother of Mark Bingham, 31, a passenger on United Flight 93, the hijacked plane that crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Hoagland, who was in court observing the trial Monday, said in a recent interview with CNN that she hopes that the United States would show Moussaoui more mercy than his confederates showed September 11 victims.

Prosecutors have already called about 30 relatives of Trade Center victims to describe the impact of their losses in the second part of Moussaoui’s death penalty trial.

Jurors have already determined that Moussaoui is eligible for the death penalty, and now must decide whether that penalty should be imposed.

Defense attorneys also want the jury to hear from convicted “shoe bomber” Richard Reid.

Though Reid will not appear as a live witness, defense attorneys want to read into the record a written summary of what Reid would say if called as a witness.

Defense attorneys expect Reid to disavow any role in the conspiracy to hijack and crash planes into prominent American buildings.

Moussaoui, during two turns on the witness stand, said that al Qaeda tapped his “buddy” Reid to be part of his hijacking crew that would have commandeered a fifth jet liner on September 11, 2001, which Moussaoui said he intended to fly into the White House.

Moussaoui said he and Reid never discussed this plot, and Reid may have not known about it, because al Qaeda kept operational information compartmentalized on a “need to know basis.”

A defense psychologist said Tuesday his conclusion that Zacarias Moussaoui is a paranoid schizophrenic is based on observations of the actions and writings of the confessed terrorist conspirator described earlier as convinced President Bush will set him free.

Psychologist Xavier Amador said the clincher in making his diagnosis was an April 2005 encounter with Moussaoui in which the defendant in the nation’s only Sept. 11, 2001 prosecution repeatedly spit water on him - and appeared to be talking to himself.

Amador said the visit lasted for about an hour, and that Moussaoui spent much of the time telling Amador to go away. Amador observed Moussaoui talking to himself in a manner that did not appear to be prayer, the witness said.

When Amador refused to go away, he said, Moussaoui spit water at him more than a dozen times and then finally resigned himself to Amador’s presence.

Moussaoui then complained that jail guards used excessive force in taking him from his Alexandria jail cell to a deposition at the federal courthouse. And he told Amador that Bush would release him from prison.

Amador testified that he had become convinced Moussaoui was suffering from a delusional thought disorder before the incident but that this particular encounter reinforced his belief.

Government experts have reached conclusions that diverge from Amador’s statements, and are expected to testify later this week in rebuttal.

While prosecutors’ experts have been able to examine Moussaoui, he refused to cooperate with Amador or any other defense expert.

Amador based his diagnosis, revealed during testimony Monday, largely on conclusions of other mental-health professionals and an analysis of Moussaoui’s actions and writings over a period of years. These included the numerous rambling, often insulting, legal motions that Moussaoui filed during an 18-month period in which he represented himself.

Moussaoui’s defense lawyers, who are at odds with their client, say he is delusional and cite his testimony last week about a dream that Bush will free him prison before his lifetime sentence expires.

Jurors must decide whether Moussaoui should be executed or serve life in prison without parole, their only options since Moussaoui has already pleaded guilty to conspiring with al Qaeda to fly planes into U.S. buildings.

One of Moussaoui’s jail guards offered a few more details of Moussaoui’s dream during testimony Monday. Deputy Vikas Ohri said Moussaoui has told him that after Bush frees him, he will “fly to London, write a book, make some money and go back to the mountains of Afghanistan and be al-Qaida.”

He said he has also seen Moussaoui standing in front of a wall talking to himself. He asked Moussaoui about it once, and Moussaoui said he was practicing for court.

Moussaoui is the only person charged in this country in connection with the Sept. 11 attacks. The jury deciding his fate has already declared him eligible for the death penalty by determining that his actions caused at least one death on 9/11.

Even though Moussaoui was in jail in Minnesota at the time of the attacks, the jury ruled that lies he told federal agents a month before the attacks kept authorities from identifying and stopping some of the hijackers.

Has America lost its freedom of the press? There seems to be no other explanation for the otherwise incomprehensible failure of the American media to report on vast array of evidence pointing to the events of 911 as being part of a U.S. government conspiracy.

People are being murdered, newspaper and TV archives are being sanitized and government announcements are being retroactively rewritten. A growing group of academics, government officials, military veterans and other concerned citizens are fighting back using the internet and other non-traditional media. These people include a former German Defense Minister, a former member of the Bush Cabinet, authors like Gore Vidal and Hunter S. Thomson (who died recently under suspicious circumstances), prominent academics, former intelligence officials and many others. They have succeeded to the point where 63% of Canadians and 50% of New Yorkers now believe the U.S. government was complicit in the 911 attacks.

Despite this change in public opinion, the American people need the help of the international community, especially the international press. As former Vice President Al Gore said in a recent speech “I believe that American democracy is in grave danger.” Gore claims the Bush administration “has made it a practice to try and control and intimidate news organizations: from PBS to CBS to Newsweek.” Hundreds of American journalists are being followed on a daily basis, their phones are being tapped and they are being threatened with jail. The only truly free medium left is the internet, according to Gore and its liberty is also under threat.

The assault on freedom of the press in America means that all the checks and balances that once kept American democracy vibrant are now virtually gone.

Victims’ Families Angered Over Silence From Media

While the media plays up the significance of the government show trial of the seemingly deranged “20th hijacker” Zacharias Moussaoui, not one 9-11 victim’s lawsuit has been allowed to be heard in a trial by jury. Why have the 9-11 victims’ families not been given the same right to have their cases heard in an open trial?

Ellen Mariani, who lost her husband Neil on United Air Lines (UAL) Flight 175, filed the first 9-11 wrongful death lawsuit against UAL on Dec. 20, 2001. Mariani was interviewed on national television in May 2002 by Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, who repeatedly questioned her about why she had chosen to pursue litigation instead of accepting the government fund.

“I want justice,” Mariani said. “I want accountability. Who is responsible? I want the truth.”

Recently David Beamer, Father of UA93’s Todd Beamer, made some quite interesting statements to the media regarding Flight 93.

In an interview with CNN’s Kyra Phillips Beamer is asked why he is not interested in hearing the recording of his son’s (alleged) phone call to a GTE operator:

PHILLIPS: That tape recording was played in the courtroom today, that tape recording that we can never forget. From what I understand, you did not listen to it. And the tape recording I’m talking about is the GTE operator talking with your son when he made that phone call, and you could hear in the background, “Are you ready?” A fellow passenger asked Beamer toward the end of the call. “Let’s roll,” Beamer replied.

Why do you not want to hear that?

BEAMER: Well, we’ve — we know what happened. We know what he said. We know what he did. And maybe some day, I’ll have a listen.

I re-live the events of that day and the actions every day. And it’s, it’s so reassuring, although certainly Todd’s family, Peggy, his mom and I, we’ve all said that we all, we all knew what the passengers and crew did to successfully wage our first counterattack in this — in this war.

Beamer’s response illustrates his total lack of interest in hearing his only son’s final phone call. However, that day, when Beamer spoke with a local news affiliate in Jacksonville, FL, he could hardly contain his enthusiasm for the Hollywood feature film “United 93″:

“…it’s a film everyone needs to see. “United 93″ is a movie about the doomed flight on Sept. 11, 2001, that was intended for Washington D.C, but instead crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pa. It’s a story that needs to be told. It’s realistic. It’s violent, David Beamer said. It’s my opinion that every American adult should see it.…”

It’s absurd to believe that David Beamer would refuse to hear his son’s last words and yet promote Hollywood’s version of the story of UA93.
